A space to slow down, feel heard, and move forward
Hi, I'm Gerda
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years educating and supporting women through some of life's most difficult transitions. Helping others has always felt natural to me, but my decision to become a therapist was shaped just as much by my own experiences as it was by my professional ones.
Not so long ago, life seemed to hit all at once. I was burnt out, grieving the loss of my Mother, and trying to show up for everyone around me while struggling to care for myself. I often felt pulled in every direction, and spent a lot of time putting my own needs aside and convincing myself that if I just worked harder or stayed strong enough, things would eventually feel easier.
They didn't.
What I eventually learned was that healing does not come from pushing through. It comes from slowing down long enough to listen to ourselves, acknowledge our pain, and allow ourselves to receive the support we need to move forward.
Through my own journey, I discovered the value of having a space where I could be honest, vulnerable, and fully myself without feeling judged or needing to have everything figured out. It was in those moments that I began reconnecting with who I was beneath the pressure, grief, expectations, and responsibilities.
Looking back, it feels like all the pieces were leading me here.
Today, I feel honoured to support others as they navigate their own challenges. I do not believe we are meant to carry life's struggles alone and my hope is to offer you a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and find the support you need to move forward in a way that feels meaningful and authentic to you.
No matter what has brought you here, I am glad you found your way.
